2. I have not seen the interview yet, so I can only react to the transcript and what you said.

Seems to me that Martha Raddatz has a strange interviewing style where she cannot let people answer fully before interrupting (I saw her interview Gillibrand earlier in the year and it was just as painful).

I think there is no other answer to be given on the question of girls in Afghanistan. Even with the US there, there are parts of the country where girls are not going to school. The problem is that the US or Europe cannot impose our standard on these countries. We can continue to inform, but they have to start governing themselves.

I think the question about killing is a valid question. It should be asked to anybody who is seeking higher office and has been in the military.

I laughed when I read the AP article. A sad laugh though because it is directly out of what the media have become. The lack of qualified reporters and editors leads to absurd comments like this one about Kerry not going back to VietNam since 1986. Welcome to the world of citizen reporters where every blogger is a reporter and no basic verification/editing/proofreading is done.

So, now I have to find the video and listen to the interview.
