3. Yes, kept my stuff in storage for 2 years

I moved to Texas from Massachusetts to look after my mom. Since I was going to live at her place for a while, there was no room for my stuff. So I put my stuff in a POD, left it in MA and moved to TX. After 2 years I decided I needed more room so I found an apartment nearby and moved there. Had the POD delivered from MA to TX, it arrived, and everything in there was just as I had left it two years before. This included some leather living room furniture, fine wood bedroom furniture, and electronics. No damage whatsoever.

I can understand why they don't take responsibility since it is up to the owner to pack the POD and if you damage your stuff doing it they don't want to be the ones to pay for it.

If you do a good job packing, or hire professionals to do it, you have nothing to worry about.
