This woman's an Alabama fan, but I'm sure the sore loser attitude is similar for some of those Louisiana judges.

I was in court years ago for speeding and saw a judge throw the book at some guy ahead of me because he clearly hated his lawyer. The young lawyer could hardly say anything without the judge angrily interrupting him as the lawyer repeatedly apologized. I can't remember the details of the alleged crime anymore, but I remember thinking it was a pretty minor offense and several people in the courtroom gasped at the jail sentence. The defendant was white, by the way. The judge clearly despised that particular lawyer for whatever reason, and the client paid for it. After that defendant and his lawyer were gone, the judge acted calm again.
