Are Nordstrom's, Kohl's, and Macy's the last free-standing department store retailers?

I mean yes, there are discount chains ... Ross Stores, TJMaxx, Burlington. Penney's is still going but it's owned, last time I looked, by a couple of commercial real estate companies who bought it to keep JCP stores in their malls open.

Kohl's being the widest geographically I think. And all those free-standing stores they own or lease.

Editorializing, I don't like Kohl's selection of merchandise. Too mid-western, young, small city focused for my taste. Much prefer Nordstrom Rack and Macy's.
