Personally, I tend not to go for the big names you mention (though I read Michener in the past.)

I don't have copies of his work for sale, but I like Jo Nesbo as a crime fiction writer. The brick & mortar store with which I am peripherally associated, however, does.

I can supply just about any title for people here, but not at my less-than-half-price prices for new books. I'd love to be the bookseller of choice for my DU peeps - it's better to shop via independents than Amazon, just for the sake of book diversity in the long term.

Anyway, ultimately it's just great that people read, no matter where they get their books or in what format.
