Dow Jones Futures Down 630.today [View all]

The market is always terrible in September. I heard Joe Kernan once say the tradition dates back to the 19th century when market investors would pull their money out to make short term loans to midwest farmers to pay for bringing in the harvest.
No idea why it still happens, but it usually does.
