I ALWAYS advised my buyers to check with their credit unions before committing to their banks.

My daughters bought 3 houses with me thru Federal Credit Unions. Never a problem.

I can't & won't say all Federal Credit Unions are created equal, or treat their customers equally, but there are some banks that I VERY STRONGLY advised my buyers and sellers to NOT deal with.

Not going to name names, but they are some of the biggest (most profitable) banks in the US.

I was a very successful Realtor, because all of my buyers and sellers would recommend me to their friends and family.

PLEASE...check with your credit union first.
