1. I rarely had homework in elementary school because I could complete...

... all of it at school. It was supposed to be homework, however.

My elementary school years were mostly a waste academically because the teachers weren't very good.

I had a teacher confiscate a coin from New Zealand that I was showing to another student at recess as punishment for me "lying" about it being real money! I was only in first grade, yet I knew even then that various types of coins existed in the world. A third-grade teacher confidently told us that the sky was blue because it reflected the color of the oceans! I knew that she was an idiot too.

Thank goodness that my junior high and high school teachers were smart and competent. I started to enjoy school at about that time as well.
