1. Special Ed teachers do get some benefits

regarding student loans. After teaching for a few years (can't remember how many... my daughter teaches special ed) they will pay off a chunk of your loan. How long have you been teaching, and is it in a high poverty school?

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Do you belong to the teacher's union in your school? If so, talk to them too.
