A teacher's job used to be something like instilling a desire for knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the world around you. That job description landed them the position of enemy #1 of right wing politics in america.

now the job revolves around standardized testing. every one and then one or two teachers forgets that change. gotta remind them and set an example. what a brilliant idea to stop the bleeding while someone who at least appears on the surface to be not completely beholden to our owners is in charge.
