Life has its ups and downs. Cherish the good times.

Public resources should first be directed to people whose very existence is threatened by climate change, not just their property.

As a young man I sometimes lived near enough the ocean that I could walk to the beach and swim or surf whenever I wanted to. And I did so almost daily. I wasn't pushed out by rising seas but by far wealthier people who also wanted to live near the ocean.

Every year people die in heat waves, especially elderly people, and those numbers will increase because of climate change. People die in wildfires, floods, and storms related to climate change. The economies of entire nations collapse because of climate change and people are forced to flee for their lives.

Coastal erosion is a threat people can literally walk away from.

Climate change is going to force the relocation of entire communities, even entire cities. If we can't figure out how to accomplish that gracefully there will be chaos.
