I hate seeing puff "optimistic" pieces popping up in the media saying the climate is cooling or a certain species has not gone completely extinct yet or some new tech will save us.

Although I think at some point there will be an orchestrated puff tsunami coming from all quarters - government, big tech, wall street, mass influencers - to try and keep the inevitable panic from happening.

If only they had been honest and spent the money to address the problem and prepare people for this reality instead of delay, denial and obfuscation.
