3. I live near the ocean, above the tsunami line but have neighbors fighting the Coastal Commission.

Most of the homes are empty vacation rentals, out of town owners.

They expect the government to build revetments and come every January to push the sand off the street, FEMA pays to rebuild their home smashed by waves and wave carried debris.

The Commission and Local Coastal Plan are looking at one-time-rebuild rules, giving notice that you don't get to live on the edge of danger in perpetuity and we aren't going to keep bailing you out.

Life sucks when you have decided to buy an income property where nature gets its way and climate change is sending strong messages to move on, to retreat.
