2. Converting fossil methane to carbon dioxide is hardly 'green'

I am not convinced. So-called green hydrogen comes from taking methane (natural gas, CH4)), stripping off the hydrogen, and releasing CO2, which is still a green house gas! That's the same CO2 that comes from burning methane. Which is far simpler than a fuel cell---which needs fancy membranes, catalysts, much maintenance.

Practical, affordable fuel cells have always been 5 years in the future for at least 40 years.
