8. Hydrogen buses ...

..have had whole fleets pulled out of service in Aberdeen, Scotland, Poznan in Poland, Antwerp in the Netherlands, in Ireland too I think ... Mostly not because they catch fire, but because they break down, and are too expensive to run. Nnadir is right: hydrogen is a terrible fuel, and 'green' hydrogen is expensive hopium. When I was a kid, electric trolleybuses, running on hydropower, serviced this very hilly city. The buses have been diesel now for decades, they've just started converting to battery buses - made in China, of course. Maybe we'll get back to trolley buses yet.
