Khan Academy for free on line courses [View all]

Continuing education, either taking classes in new fields or refresher courses, is a major part of my self improvement goals but I haven't had the time to start on it. A link to the Khan Academy website has been in my bookmarks for months. Yesterday I finally signed up and am taking two math courses, Pre-algebra and Basic Geometry, as math is a weak area for me. My intention is to spend and hour or two at the site and work my way through all the high school level math courses.

I like the way this is set up as the video lectures are short but the topic covered is explained very clearly. One has the option to take many practice quiz's applying what one has learned to solve problems.

Later I'll take the Grammar course and some, if not all, the science courses.
