Not an oven type, but a basket type. I think the oven types are more expensive. If I had more counter space I would have bought an oven type. The unit I got has a pretty small foot print, so it's great for my kitchen & there are just two of us, so it works.

We don't have AC so running the oven for things like baked potatoes in the summer can really heat up the front of the house. The air fryer took 20 minutes off bake time for two medium sized potatoes & they were wonderful! Crispy outsides & tender, fluffy insides. (I pricked them with a fork & coated them with oil.) Also, it puts out very little heat compared to the oven. Cook time for most things is much shorter. My husband makes his tortilla wraps in the fryer, I heat up tacos and quiche, & it's perfect for frozen treats like poppers and tater tots. I'm thinking of making 7" pies this fall so I can bake them in the fryer instead of the oven.

For things that need oil, I splurged & bought a bottle of avocado oil. It's thicker & sticks better, if that makes sense. I also bought an oil mister, but save your money—a little silicone brush will work better.
