I went vegetarian in 1982 and vegan in 2013.

Lots of vegetarians do cut way back on dairy and eggs. I did more and more until I realized it wouldn't be so hard to go vegan.

So some vegetarians do eat lots of dairy and eggs. Others don't. I am of the belief that for those vegetarians who cut way back on dairy and eggs and use a lot of substitutes but for some reason don't go full vegan, they are causing less suffering than the omnivores. But, the ones who have dairy and or eggs with most meals are really no different than the omnivores.
