4. I'd like to think that now it's a bit easier for friends and family to speak up.

I would hope that there is more understanding of signs of abuse and how to reach out. I think that mandatory reporters have made a difference for children and I'd like to think the the way docs and hospitals screen certain injuries has helped too.

Still, there are far too many who live in daily fear and I will NEVER judge them for staying in the situation.
