Solar Shields (Foster Grant) fit over eyeglasses and some designs offer side protection... Anti-glare coating on glasses is also a help. Wearing a hat and avoiding midday sun (between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm) may also provide some protection.

Be well... Failing vision is no small matter, whatever one's age...
