I read your thread to her to cheer her up/distract her as we are awaiting biopsy results..She winced a little at the reference to bacon so that is definitely not on even the olfactory menu 
.....your mashed potatoes and peas could work though.
It is a headscratcher cheffing for someone who has become averse to all flavors..I am giving her apples stewed until they are just mush..plain bread etc.
Sorry to hear about you awful experiences with chemo...What kind of cancer did you have if you don't mind my asking? And how long has it been? You seem to be doing much better which is great 
. I will keep an eye out for your updates..
