2. our local Y has a chair lift for the hot tub.

the user sits in the chair and it is lowered into the tub, then lifts the patient out when the session is over.

It is made of canvas straps, like a seat sling for climbing and repelling so it works fine in the water.

Wheelchairs can be used, since the entire path to the pool has ramps, not stairs.
