And so begins the holiday season [View all]

A time of feasting. A time of indulgence - and overindulgence.
What are your strategies for dealing with all the temptations to com?
I'm a low-carber. I can eat all the turkey I want...I make sure there are lots of veggies suitable for me, I make my own Splenda-ed cranberry sauce. Stuffing was always my weakness; I make a small casserole of just the veggies that would be in my mom's stuffing...mushrooms and onions and celery with lots of seasonings., and I make a sugarfree dessert for myself.
And my midnight "treat" is a big salad with blue cheese and bacon bits.
It's still difficult, but I just look in the mirror and remind myself of how hard it was to get to here...and how far I have to go (really not that far, about ten more pounds).
