5. French onion soup

According to Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I made the soup yesterday, when I had a day off. When I got home from work today, all I had to do was heat it, add the stale bread and cheese, and stick it under the broiler.

Even DH, who isn't much of a soup person, thought it was great. Julia Child does not disappoint. This one's going in the recipe collection.
