13. How I flavor kombucha

So far I've used my blender and my manual citrus juicer.

When the kombucha is ready (it takes about a week to ferment), it is bottled up. I leave a little space at the top and put whatever my flavor is in. Then I close the top of the bottle and let it sit in the frig for about 3 days. Sometimes I just drink it early, though.

On the pineapple mandarin, I cut off the pineapple rind and got my mandarin juice from fresh mandarins. Mixed everything in the blender, added it to the bottles, and that was it!

However, I have a few kombucha cookbooks I'm going to consult to see if I'm missing any tricks.

I just bought some blueberries and kiwi fruit to experiment with next!
