Question. I have an asparagus fern that I brought inside last week. [View all]

I noticed that it had a lot of exposed roots with little oval nodules on them. Thinking that wasn't good, I covered everything with new potting soil. Now the plant looks bad with needles starting to yellow. It could be the inside heat and humidity, but I'm not sure.
What should I have done? And are those node things normal?
