I remember Halloween as a child being told to be very careful (this was a long time ago) and the things that mean people could do. In my innocence, I couldn't understand why someone would want to hurt a child. Fortunately, nothing bad ever happened, to me at least. Sad that I don't even question the danger anymore-- it's just a fact of life.
