6. Tepinita had a wonderful day at the clinic yesterday

and so did the rest of the family. The little one has more energy and is being more successful at getting and keeping hold of a nipple. She was seen nursing so much that I only fed her before work, on my lunch break, and when I got home. This morning, her pre-feeding weight was up to 249g, a little over 30g gain. The middle two just maintained for a day at 319g and 321g, respectively, and the Bruiser went from 342g to 354g.

Little Tepin was still hungry after the formula at lunch and kept going after my fingers. I finally said "You want to chomp? I'll give you something to chomp." and got a can of a/d pate. It's a high calorie diet for patients with acute issues. I kept sticking my finger in and offering it; she kept licking it, with an occasional chomp. So yesterday she got mama milk, homemade formula, KMR, and a/d about the size of a green pea. She loves them all; no finicky kitten here.

Audrey is up 0.4 pounds from Saturday, so she's getting enough to eat, as well. My coworkers keep commenting how sweet she is, and such a good mother. They fed her 2 tubes of Churu, just because. With everything she's putting out, she needs all the calories she can get. Oddly enough, she rejected the clinic litterpan even though it was the same litter and waited till she got home. Pretty persnickety for a cat who, 4 days ago, was squatting in the shrubbery. I guess she knows she's home.

Anyway, they get to stay home today. Tomorrow they'll be back for another spa day at the clinic.
