Best Eco Friendly litter??? [View all]
I I'm so over my foul smelling little beasties lol. I know it's not their fault, but sometimes I tell them I'm not going to feed them anymore if they're going to keep smelling like that LOL.
I used to like feline pine, but it's not helping these days I think my older male cat is just more stinky urine these days. I tried sustainably yours, I like that it is a good clump however, it's a little pricey, and because it clumps so hard it's really not good to flush. And the idea of using a eco-friendly litter and then having to use a fucking plastic bag to throw it in the trash is stupid to me.
Then I go online to do research and realize that a lot of places and people say we're not supposed to be flushing it at all... Because of toxoplasmosis etc.
So I'm really desperate at this point to try and figure out what is the best way to handle these stinky little beasts that I love so much. In the summertime, they usually go outside and have a spot that they go under the back porch and it's out of sight out of mind and no problem. I also don't smell anything in the dirt coming up through the porch. But it's impossible in the winter with snow.
I've literally gotten to the point where I just emailed both our local refuse company as well as our local water company to find out what their parameters are on waste and litter disposal.
I tried the sweet scoop stuff and it stinked to high heaven I cannot do it. I think I used OKO cat in the past, and it has good reviews and a new formula, that breaks down to basically nothing if flushed. So it sounds good but you never know.
Anyone? Anyone?...Bueller???
