They promote a hardline at the negotiating table, the all or nothing approach which is certain to fail, and then complain about the potential consequences, in an effort to escalate matters further. But their concern is feigned because it means their big sponsors among the defense contractors can continue their cash cow arms race in northeast Asia. And the money keeps rolling in.
