7. That is so neat. My dad was in the Army Air Corps too before it

changed to the Air Force. My dad had a load of medals all stashed in a big drawer. He flew combat in WWII (Burma Hump), Korea and Viet Nam.

My uncle was in the Navy during WWII and was killed on the USS Meredith in the Battle of Guadalcanal.

That is neat about the Emergency Air Rescue. Where was he stationed? What kind of work did he do? From what I have heard, Emergency Rescue can be quite dangerous? I never knew anyone from this kind of squadron, it sounds really neat.
Do they fly helicopters or larger planes?

My dad flew fighters, air refuellers, cargo, reconnaissance.

Right we can share stories too! We already started the military group....
