Had an entire spreadsheet. For me, it boiled down to 3 countries: Canada, because my mother was born there and I would have no problem obtaining citizenship; Portugal, because of affordability; and Mexico because of proximity, affordability, lots of Americans, and easy immigration regs.
My kids thought I was nuts. 9 years later one of them is considering Ireland. Need a lot of money to settle in Ireland, though.
