I can't believe people think that any Democrat can win the general by smearing the most recent Democratic president.

It makes no sense. I'm a Bernie supporter, but I'm beginning to feel embarrassed sometimes to say so--not so much among people I know, but certainly here at DU, where the Obama bashing is almost as virulent as the Hillary bashing.

Don't people remember what happened when Gore decided to distance himself from President Clinton? When the primary in 1980 got so personal and ugly?

Or is it that some of our folks here, especially some of the newbies, would just as soon see a Trump or Cruz as president?

I read all these insanely hateful posts (for instance, one actually implying that Hillary was a prostitute) and wonder what the fuck has happened to this place.

Anyway, thanks again for injecting some reality into the whirlpool of holier than thou bullshit that DU seems to have become.
