4. I do have empathy. I'm very sorry that the man was shot!

I'm sorry for not making that clear in my post, but I sometimes assume people will take that for granted.

I personally wouldn't have a gun in my hand if I knew cops were on the way, at least not out in the open. I'd probably have the gun in hand inside a bedroom, looking outside for the arriving cops, and then put the gun away.

If the husband was shot immediately simply for holding a gun in his garage, it's an outrage. I hope there's video of it to clarify what happened.

My earlier post made reference to a cop being shot for responding to a similar 9-1-1 call. Why is that confusing?
