car accident where the white guy that caused the accident gets out of his car with his assault rifle and shoots the black female driver of the car he hit and kills her while she is standing with her hands raised in the air.

black man going into or coming out of a McDonald's doesn't hear or didn't otherwise deal with a request from a white woman to hold the door open for her... she complains to her boyfriend and he pulls a gun and shoots the black man.

I think these incidents are all created by the current "simmering race war" attitude created by the GOP nomination of Donald Trump. The sheer number of unarmed black men and women being killed by police and not facing any criminal charges and usually not even a loss of job is a symptom. The dismissive attitude or even pro police attitude from many white people over the protests by BLM and black athletes and entertainers is also a symptom.

The election of Barack Obama shattered the thin veil of silent white privilege some 8 years ago... and the resulting reaction has been ugly. They have mainstreamed their racism. Trump is the result. I firmly believe that these people feel empowered to just pull a weapon out and shoot black people because of the candidacy of Donald J. Trump.

I don't know where this ends... but it's not good.
