4. I, too, like the idea of AA's in the military, but if you want/need a second choice...

I have read some good books about Frederick Douglass, John Brown, and others who fought for the end of slavery before the Civil War. It got me interested in others about whom I knew much less--Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, the Secret Six, Emerson and Thoreau, Julia Ward Howe, etc.

This might be too broad a topic, but I like the idea of learning more about this disparate group of people, all working toward the same goal.

Just a thought. Whatever you decide, I look forward to reading it.
