1. As with many things money will ruin college sports

Many would make the argument that it already has and I can't argue with them. Bigger money will only make it much worse.

One of the charms of college sports is that the country was was divided geographically and each reason would have its teams to cheer for. Well that ship said a long time ago. Now it is totally gone. In my mind the ACC was the first to step out of their area, but others quickly followed chasing the big, big bucks.

So now college sports officially leaves the fantasy of doing sports for the love of it. Now we have at least 2 mega cross country conferences. Since the fantasy of of the scruffy team that rises from nowhere is long gone college sports will join the list of sports I simply have little interest in watching.

College kids will now be playing football, basketball and maybe even baseball for millions. I prefer to go to the local park and watch the kids play for ----- fun.
