They moved into the dome and became the Astros. The dome ruined baseball for me, not the abysmal playing of the “team.” Team in italics because they had really good players but just couldn’t come together as a cohesive unit.

But the Astrodome was a horrendous place for any sports or entertainment - you couldn’t see well because everything was so far away and you couldn’t hear because the acoustics were the worst. If I remember correctly there was a 6 second delay.

One of the last concerts that Judy Garand did before her untimely death was in the dome. Probably not why she topped herself, but might have been one of those proverbial straws.
