I live on Yaquina Bay, birders paradise. We have a large population of brown pelicans, lots of migratory birds as well as sea life. Some of the birds are still nesting, nurturing their young.

The fireworks were awful.

The pelicans have been arriving emaciated from California and recovering well here. I hope that they found someplace safe last night. Broke my heart.
