37. I just thought of another thing about this game: the NFL needs to make a rule change.

On a cold and windy night at Soldier Field in Chicago, the heaters on the visitor sidelines stopped working while the ones on the home team's side were visibly working fine.

By rule, when some form of communication breaks down for one team, the other team has to do without until it is fixed. Usually, this means helmets, but not so long ago it meant headsets (and it still could). But there is apparently no rule when it comes to heaters.

This was in the second quarter. The folks at Fox who carried the game did not mention it later, so I believe it was a temporary problem. But still, if one team has heat and the other team does not, even for a short while, it's an advantage, and it isn't fair. The NFL needs to implement a rule stating that if the heaters on one side of the field stop working, the ones on the opposite side should be turned off until the problem is remedied for both teams.
