6. My son ordered a crossbow (well we ordered it after he picked it out)

this week...but he ordered it because the neighbor across the street from us (11yo) harvested a doe on doe youth day, and his best friend on our right (7yo) goes hunting with his GF with their crossbow.

He decided he had to have one, so he went online found one in his price range and asked if I'd read the reviews. LOL I did and his mom checked out.

Now it looks like we'll have to go hunting sooner than Thanksgiving week.

edit to add: Hunger Games did make the kids dig out my son's old (too small) compound and start shooting it again.
