I didn't know about partying in the bar car, although I had heard the Coast Starlight is a rolling party. I'm taking the California Zephyr from Emeryville, CA to Denver. Just one night on the train.

I've taken many day trips on Amtrak (Emeryville to Reno), and I know about taking alcohol on. Fun. However, if you use their bus service, no drinking. The driver said he'd put us out in the middle of the desert if he caught us drinking. lol
