Nowhere in my OP do I write 'lacking comprehension'.

To be 'willfully ignorant' is to comprehend but still choose to ignore.

I willfully ignore the concept of 'god(s)'.
It is a meaningless and vacuous concept, one that does not warrant any serious consideration.
