7. Well, I'll tell you a story of a recent happening.

I lived next to a guy and his two sons for several years and they had two very intelligent Border Collies...the mother and one of her male pups that was around 2 years old.

Around noon and suppertime, I noticed 3 vultures that would circle over their garage where the dogs lived most of the time. I didn't think much of it at first, but then they continued for 3 days. I finally called the owner and explained the situation. He immediately took both dogs to the vet.

As it turned out, the mother had heartworm so bad, he had her put to sleep. The pup had heartworm, but it was at a stage where it could be treated.

Now when I see vultures that circle over a house/property for several days, I worry and contact the people if I know their name.
