4. leaderless revolution

I read somewhere that the distinguishing characteristic of this time is that there will be no leaders and that the change will come about on the part of the people on the ground level.

Look at how Operation Wall Street worked.

Many media pundits criticized the movement for having no specific leaders, but this form of leadership has its advantages. One is that the traditional tactics of the right are flummoxed by the fact that they have a hard time demonizing and villifying the leaders, since no one knows who they are or if they even are.

Also, from another source, I heard something that fits into this, albeit in a roundabout way. The source is an experienced palm reader. The question put to him was that since he reads hundreds of palms over an extended period of time, what does he see in these palms that say what might happen in our collective future?

The answer was that he sees us ignoring the federal government and going about our way on a more regional level. He says there is a food revolution going on and that people will be doing more of their own food-growing.

Interestingly, he does not see this as a result of a catastrophe. He didn't say this, but I watch these matters because of my interest in healthy food, but I wonder if it's because people are becoming better educated about what a disaster this "national" food system is. To have a national food system, we have to have preservatives and chemicals in the food. A regional food system would not.

If anyone wants to know the name of the palm reader, let me know and I'll look it up.
