I thought it could be perimenopause too. So far I haven't had any symptoms of menopause (still getting my monthly visitor every 28 days like clockwork) but I'm "at the age". They didn't mention that possibility at the hospital... As far as it being an anxiety attack, it's hard to say, it was just normal day for me, I wasn't really stressing out about anything in particular. That's not to say I'm not in complete denial and stressed out subconsciously about something...
