I am not a physicist. And Campbell says a lot of what we don't understand, and make suggestions for, sounds like "Paranormal" explanations: ie. some of Quantum mechanics. To me it seems it is just that the theory is incorrect, inexact, or unknown and needs work. String Theory-Supersymmetry has had some fascinating implications and drawbacks which Campbell never discusses.

As a thinking person, I have problems with our consciousness controlling reality and originated first (the Universe did). Consciousness is collection of information...collected and moved forward and built on, and growing. Others like Stephen Hawkings, and Green debate this and have other ideas. I have no idea who is right but gather around the idea we are not, nor is our conscious, the center of anything. And, consciousness is a collective mystery of out biologic activities.
