The blue ring is made up of multiple images of the secondary galaxy far behind the one in front. Very beautiful.

As for the black hole, yikes! But these galaxies are really far away according to Wikipedia:

5.628 Gly (1.726 Gpc) (foreground galaxy)
18.884 Gly (5.790 Gpc) (lensed galaxy)

“Gly” means giga-light year or 5.6 billion light years away. The lensed galaxy is insanely distant.
