I have a friend who inhales bulk-up powder by the barrell, all while downing supplement pills like Pac-Man. When I mention stuff like this to him, he usually shrugs and says "All I know is that it works."

That basically boils down to "what's the harm?"

And that's why it's a billion-dollar industry.
