some people think it's too painful, like picking at an open wound. I'm the other way. I had to find a path through that grief. I had 2 great uncles who did not survive WW1. All I ever learned about them was that they died in the war and that it was not from combat but from "dysentery." This past year I speculate that they were victims of the pandemic. But that's all I know about them. Of course I came along very much later and by the time I came of age virtually everyone who knew them was dead.
One thing I know. They are not forgotten.
